Music Meeting 2025: shaping the dialogue on today’s industry

Every year, Linecheck Music Meeting and Festival – taking place from November 17 to 22 at BASE Milano and several other venues – proves to be one of the key events of the Italian and international music industry. Our Meeting Program, running from November 19 to 22, will once again bring together the global music community, including thousands of experts, to celebrate the pervasive and transformative power of music.

Think about it: music is the soundtrack of our lives.

It pulses through our headphones, amplifies the emotions of our favorite scenes, gives us the energy to face a new day while driving, or to end it on a dancefloor with friends. This omnipresence invests the sector with a delicate responsibility towards our society, and we invite industry players, aspiring professionals and music lovers to join this year’s conversations.

Four summits — focused clusters of keynotes, roundtables, workshops, and panels — will guide speakers and attendees through the dynamics shaping our industry today, opening up infinite presences through which music can find expression, spark new imaginaries, and inspire positive change.

Get your BASE Full Pass to access the entire Meeting and Festival program at our Milan headquarters BASE (November 19-22) and take part in this dialogue with the most brilliant minds of the music business, connect with them and discover new professional opportunities.

Live Arts Summit – In collision with Farout

As part of the Linecheck Music Festival 2025 programme, music crosses into the world of performance. This year, the festival embraces new languages through its collision with FAROUT Live Arts Festival (4 October – 23 November), the live arts festival produced by BASE Milano and named after the most distant planet from the sun.

Some of the shows presented at Linecheck 2025 will be directly produced by FAROUT, opening new pathways between sound and performance. Among the artists involved: Olimpia Fortuni + Katatonic Silentio, gruppo nanou, and OvO.

The Meeting and Conference programme will also be co-curated with BASE and FAROUT, featuring special sessions dedicated to the relationship between the sonic and performative dimensions. These encounters will further enrich the audience experience and foster a dialogue across creative communities that transcends disciplinary boundaries.

Social Change Summit – The Act in Synch Edition

Shaping Tomorrow: Culture as Emotional Infrastructure in Times of Collapse

We are no longer just facing crises — we are living through them. The Social Change Summit with Act in Synch explores how music, culture, and shared human experience can provide emotional infrastructure when political and economic systems fall short. This is about building resilience, connection, and radical imagination for uncertain futures.

Through a focus on connection, cultural resilience, environmental engagement and wellbeing, the summit demonstrates how creativity and cultural practices can ground us and help us forge new cultural pathways to meet the challenges ahead.

Synch Summit – Co-curated with Europe in Synch

The Synch Summit with Europe in Synch unveils best practices for intertwining music and cross-industry projects: as a forum for experts from music, gaming, film, TV and advertising, it will once again address the power and potential of Synchronization.

Focusing on collaborations between composers and game studios, and between music artists, rights holders and film/TV productions, we will see how a constructive dialogue between the sectors in the form of strategic licensing and expert supervision can generate revenue streams and forge deeper emotional bonds with audiences.

This summit invites professionals across creative sectors, who understand music as a driving force of storytelling and brand experience, to network, to learn and to be inspired.

Music Tech Summit

The Tech Summit explores how the intersection of Music and Technology can shape how music is created, experienced and monetized. AI, Web3, VR/AR, Spatial Audio, all these new technologies influence what is happening with music in today’s world and will continue to shape the future of the music industry.

How can we use these technologies to their full potential? How do we ensure they are implemented in a fair and ethical way? What new opportunities can they unlock for entrepreneurs, and how can they attract investment?

The Tech Summit dives deep into these topics, with a series of panels, workshops, roundtables and more, all designed to explore the evolving relationship between music and technology. We invite you to join professionals who view technology as a catalyst for artistic expression and business growth, and connect, exchange insights, and be inspired by the next developments of music-tech innovation.

This Summit will host the Kick-off meeting of Music Tech Europe Academy, the pan-European acceleration program for startups in the music-tech industry.
